Md. Shamim Reza received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, NSW, Australia in 2014. After his PhD degree, he worked as a Research Associate at the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, UNSW. He also served as a Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the Department of EEE of BUET. Currently he is working as a Professor at the same Department of BUET. His research interests include power electronics, grid synchronization, PMU algorithm, phase-locked loop, load monitoring, harmonics/flicker detection and mitigation, smart metering, distributed generations, and applications of signal processing for electrical power engineering.
